A Ha Foot Of The Mountain CD

by: Patrick Daniels
I am a huge A Ha fan, from way back, and was excited about their latest, and ninth album release. This album has the traditional sounds that fans love with a new spin to keep it current for new fans to enjoy. A Ha is a Norwegian band with an incredible sound, that gets better with each album they release.

The band members consist of Morten Harket, lead vocalist, Paul Waaktaar-Savoy, guitarist and Magne Furuholmen, keyboardist. They originally formed in 1982, when they took the music industry by storm after leaving Norway and making London their new home. Their name was originally suppose to be the title of one of their singles, however the group thought it was a unique and easy to remember name, therefore decided it was the best name for the band.

The title of their ninth album is "Foot of the Mountain". This new release has just become available in much of the world, outside of the United States that is! The title track is already running up the charts and much is due to the synth pop sound that made the band famous in the first place. The last single that did this well for the band was "Take on Me", from 1985, given that the band has gone back to a more 80's sound this could be just the album to get them back onto the top 40 scene.

With so many bands making the mistake of trying to reinvent themselves, it is refreshing that they instead took a step back and gave us today's music with a little bit of the past intertwined. This works since today's top 40 listeners are different from those of the 1980's, therefore they made the sound enjoyable for both generations of listeners.

So, if you can, don't miss out on the opportunity to purchase this incredible album. All the songs were written by Paul and Magne, some together and some individually, and are a mix of the old A-Ha sound and a connection to their homeland. It truly is a wonderful collection of songs, and they all deserve the worldwide attention that they are receiving.

11 Damaging Mistakes Guitar Players Make and How To Avoid Them

 by: Tom Hess
Do you know how some guitar players practice most days of the week, work hard, and are passionate about their guitar playing, but they always struggle to be able to play guitar the way they want? They are frustrated because they don’t improve fast enough, begin doubting their guitar playing potential, or even feel discouraged or angry with themselves when thinking about how long it is taking them to become a better guitar player.

Can you relate to that? I sure can, I just described myself 15 years ago.

There are specific reasons why guitar players go through such frustration and disappointment. Here are 11 key mistakes guitar players make and repeat over and over again that you should definitely avoid.

1. Teaching Yourself To Play Guitar. Many people attempt to teach themselves how to play guitar. Yes, it’s true that some well known players were ‘somewhat’ self taught, but I do not suggest following that strategy even if your favorite player was self taught. If you are 100% sure that you can build powerfully effective learning and training systems on your own, that's great. However, if you are like most of us, doing it alone is the hardest, most time-consuming, stressful, and frustrating way to learn anything. This is a mistake that you should avoid. Some guitar players think it will impress others if they say, "I am a self taught guitar player". That statement might impress a few inexperienced people, but being self taught is not a 'badge of honor'. Would you rather impress others with your guitar playing or with an unimportant statement about your guitar playing? I'm not criticizing self taught guitar players, I'm only saying that there is no advantage to being self taug ht… and no, it is not true that being 'self taught' makes us more 'original'. In fact, the opposite is usually true.

2. Taking Guitar Lessons From Ineffective Guitar Teachers. Unfortunately, most electric guitar teachers receive ZERO training on how to teach guitar. What is worse is that the vast majority of teachers do little or nothing to improve their guitar teaching skills. Want some proof? Use google’s keyword tool . Type in this keyword phrase: ‘improve guitar teaching skills’, ‘guitar teaching skills’, or ‘guitar teaching training’ and you will find that less than 10 searches per month are done for these topics at google! Of course there are some highly effective electric guitar teachers around, but there are a whole lot more ineffective teachers. Here is a free resource on how to tell the difference between the good guitar teachers and the mediocre ones, free guide: how to find a guitar teacher: http://tomhess.net/HowToChooseAGuitarTeacher.aspx

3. Seeking New Guitar Information (tricks, tips, tab) Without A Proven Strategy To Reach Your Specific Musical Goals. We need information, advice, help and music to play, but without a proven strategic learning and training process that is specific to you, your skill level, your musical style and what you want to be able to do as a guitar player, information won’t get you where you want to go. It is better to first seek help in developing a customized strategy for you to become a better guitar player. After that strategy is in place, then it is time to deal with learning the right information.

4. Not Knowing Specifically What You Want To Be Able To Play. Most guitar players are not specific enough when they think about (or tell others about) what they want to be able to do with their guitar. To say, "I want to play whatever I wish to play” is too vague. How can you (or your guitar teacher) develop a specific and effective guitar training strategy unless the goals you have are specific? It's like saying you want to be a great athlete, how can you effectively train with such a vague goal? Sure there are things you can do to become faster, stronger, more flexible or whatever, but it's much easier if you first get specific such as, I want to train to be a gymnast, or a long distance runner, or a body builder. Yes you can still improve without a strategy, but it will take a lot longer and be much more frustrating. You can always change your goal later if you discover you want to do something else instead.

5. Not Enough Focus On Things That Matter Most To Making You A Better Guitar Player. Have you fallen into the trap of practicing guitar without focusing on the specific things that can quickly begin to improve your guitar playing? Many people really do not understand and apply this concept in enough detail…. for example, I have a student named Mark who used to take lessons from another teacher in the past. Mark was studying sweep picking arpeggios with his previous teacher, and was making some progress. However Mark did not understand what ‘specific’ things he needed to focus on first before attempting to master the sweep picking arpeggios he was practicing. This was holding him back and making him feel very frustrated. Mark’s previous teacher only knew how to ‘teach’ arpeggios and general sweep picking concepts. He did not really know how to “train” Mark with the specific things to focus on and how to overcome the challenges Mark was having. If you would like to see a small sample of this check out this short sweep picking video lesson: http://tomhess.net/3StringArpeggiosLessonFull.aspx.

6. Too Much Focus On Things That Are Not Core To Your Goals. In addition to not focusing on specific things, many guitar players focus on the ‘wrong things’. Some enthusiastic guitar players become temporarily obsessed with things which are distractions from other things that could be helping their guitar playing much more. Here is an example: I used to get so frustrated and angry when I could not play something perfectly, I’d lock myself in my guitar practice room and say, “I’m not coming out of this room until I master this damn lick if it takes me the next 19 hours! No breaks! No food! No human contact! I’m gonna nail this!” And I did master it. On the surface, it might seem like I was on the right track and practicing in a good way…. But in reality, I was spending my time only to stop being angry and frustrated. I was not investing my guitar practice time wisely by focusing on the things that mattered most to making a better guitar player. In other words, my perseverance was commendable, but my strategy to master important long-term goals was weak. I allowed myself to be distracted. I don’t make this same mistake anymore, and I urge you to also avoid it! Focus on the things that really matter for your guitar playing right now. If you are not sure how to do this, seek out a proven guitar teacher today.

7. Focusing On The Right Things, But in The Wrong Order. This is a common mistake that even many advanced guitar players make which causes a lot of wasted time and frustration. Imagine you want to improve your ability to create your own cool guitar solos. Let’s assume that you are advanced enough to truly understand all the primary and secondary elements of composing guitar solos (or you have a guitar teacher to help you). Each of the many elements need to be learned and/or practiced in order to easily create awesome solos that you like. Where should you begin? What should you focus on first, second, third? Which of these things should you practice simultaneously? There is always a specific order in which musical skills should be learned and mastered in order to EXPLODE your musical skills. Unfortunately, that order is totally different for every person, style of music, musical goal, skill set and knowledge, so giving an example here would be pointless. My advice, find the b est teacher you can and study with him/her in order to be able to do what you want to do with your guitar much faster and easier.

8. Not Isolating Problem Areas. Few guitar players are aware of the small things that hold them back in big ways. Because these little imperfections seem insignificant to us, we often ignore them. The truth is, small hinges open big doors. In the video mentioned above I explained how allowing your guitar pick to lose its momentum when you are ‘not picking’ a note on the guitar makes your playing slow and sloppy…. which will make you feel very frustrated. This is why I was sure to make a special point to help you avoid that mistake. Check out the small sample sweep picking video for more details: http://tomhess.net/3StringArpeggiosLessonFull.aspx .

9. Learning And Practicing Guitar In A Step By Step Linear Process. Does following a linear step by step approach to learning, practicing and mastering guitar seem like common sense good to you? Yes it does… And that is why guitar players who follow such a path are NOT great guitar players. I’m going to let you in an insider’s secret… The truth is, following a linear approach to learning guitar, practicing guitar, and mastering guitar is the NUMBER ONE REASON WHY “GOOD GUITAR PLAYERS” STRUGGLE TO BECOME “GREAT GUITAR PLAYERS”… I originally thought I would write an article on this one point alone, but I think you will learn this concept better in another short video I recorded while I was doing a recent guitar instructional clinic tour a few months ago. Check out this free sample from my clinic on how to practice guitar http://tomhess.net/LinearVsGeometricApproach.aspx .

10. Practicing Guitar In The Same Way Your Favorite Guitar Players Practice Guitar. Have you ever read about how your favorite guitar players practice guitar and then tried to repeat the same practice routine? Yes, I’ve made this mistake too! It seems natural to use a similar guitar practice schedule that our favorite guitar players are using. This is a mistake, because your current guitar skill level and knowledge of music is probably very different from your favorite player. His/her challenges and needs are likely not the same as yours.

Professional guitar players practice for different reasons than most amateur players do. For example, before recording a new album I will practice very differently compared to the period before going on tour. Once I’m actually on tour my practice routine changes drastically again. The rest of the year my practicing schedule changes yet again. This happens because in each case my challenges and goals are totally different. When my guitar students ask me, “Tom, how do you practice guitar?” I’m careful not to let my students assume that they should practice the same way that I do. Your practice schedule and strategy needs to be built around YOU and you only! If you need help building your own practice schedule, email me directly.

11. Learning From Too Many Different Sources Of Information. There will always be many learning opportunities and various paths to take, but it is critical that you do not get distracted into following a piece of advice from one person, then another piece of advice from another person and then follow more resources from somewhere else and so on and so on... while different people may have some good ideas to offer, the fact is, distraction is a big reason why many guitar players who are actively learning, don't really move forward quickly... these people are always busy following totally different resources, teachers, philosophies, instructional videos, free online guitar lessons, but all of this leads them to take one step forward, then 2 steps to the right, then one step forward, then 3 steps to the left, then one step backward, then two to the right, then 1 step forward and then another step to the left...

An illustration of this is shown below. The first path is obviously the most direct way to arrive to your goals. The second path is the inefficient approach filled with many distractions that come from various pieces of advice from many sources:

http://tomhess.net/files/images/articles/11BigMistakes/StepsToGoals.jpg

Once you have an effective strategy to become the guitar player you want to be, ALWAYS stay focused on it (unless your goals radically change)!! The very best way to do this is to have ONE primary guitar teacher who helps you to become the musician you really want to be.

This doesn't mean that you shouldn't take advice from other people too, but you should have one 'primary' source of information, training and coaching, and see the other advice as an additional resource, but do not become distracted by it.

Download this free guide on how to find the best guitar teacher with proven teaching strategies, proven training strategies and proven results so that you become the awesome guitar player you want to be and play the guitar the way you’ve always wanted to play.

Learn Affiliate Marketing And Start Earning Big Money Online!

by: James Schramko
Being an affiliate marketer is one of the easiest ways you can setup your own internet business. Imagine having your business on autopilot as you travel everywhere! That's just one of the benefits that internet marketing, particularly affiliate marketing, can give you.

With the increasing internet technology, online marketing has become one of the top businesses today. That's not a wonder, with millions of websites online today and hundreds more going online daily the internet competition is a tough one to content with. If you are a business owner, then you're probably looking for ways you can stay ahead of the competition. Well, there's one great solution - affiliate marketing.

Companies benefit when they use affiliate marketing since they don't have to pay for the exposure that their products will get as a result of internet marketing campaigns which are launched by their affiliates. The only time they'll have to release money is when a visitor purchases their product using the referral link from an affiliate. Typically, affiliates take 5 to 75% of the total cost of the product.

On the part of the affiliates, affiliate marketing presents a great way to income without having to produce (and design) their own products. All they have to think of is marketing the products and getting commission for every sale! They don't even have to worry about storage and shipping because all these are handled by the producers. There are also some affiliate programs which offer free trial of their products. We all know how people love free trials, and you can use this offer to increase your sales

There's really no secret to how affiliate marketing works. Many of the information you'll need to run your own marketing campaign can be found on the internet for free, you just need to exert lots of efforts and patience to find the information you need. For those who just don't have the time to research, there's a lot of internet marketing course available for a reduced price. A search from Google should lead you to the right one. When choosing an internet marketing training, you need to keep in mind your method of learning. Some people learn through practice, others need to see how its done in order to learn how the process goes. Your learning style will tell you if the internet marketing course you chose is effective or not. Some internet marketing training courses offer videos and articles, while others utilize audio.

Affiliate marketing is simple. The process of affiliate marketing is pretty straightforward - you register to become a member of an affiliate network, choose the goods and services you want to market and promote your affiliate link through different media - internet marketing articles, internet marketing blog, and many others! Becoming a good internet marketer is no longer a big secret. There are already a number of internet marketing course available for free online. Those who would like to have a more formal learning can enrol in an internet marketing training program offered by any guru.

With affiliate marketing, you can start earning money as soon as you finish registering. Of course, you will have to put an effort in determining the best internet marketing techniques you can use for your business, but after you make your plan, you can launch a campaign to success!

The best thing about affiliate marketing is that whether you are a producer or an affiliate, you don't need a lot of money in order to gain profit. With the internet on your side, making money online has never been this easy!

Get Rich Quick Or Launch A Residual Income Online?

by: Tomlin Rezar
We all might have dreamed of the day when we will get rich quick. Sooner or later we let go of the idea, but deep and far in the recesses of our mind and unconsciousness we still hope that it might still happen. Some dream of the day when they would have that knock on the door, with a huge 4 x 2 foot check with $1,000,000.00 written on it. And then the cameras and media-not to mention how the whole neighborhood will know that we have just become rich quick!

For most of us this is but a lofty and unattainable fairytale. And the object of this article is not to give you hope that you can get rich quick. The old saying still is true, that if something is too good to be true, it probably isn't. There are myriads of get rich quick schemes out there, and the internet is full of it.

In this article I will not paint a fairytale like scenario, because fairytales are just that-fairytales and castles built with sand in our imagination. However, I will say that although I am highly skeptical of get rich quick schemes, I can also assure you that there are many legitimate online businesses on the internet.

How to create wealth online is not a get rich quick scheme. It is virtually impossible to get rich quick on the internet. However, consistent wealth creating methods will soon bring you to a place of a residual income on a consistent basis. I am convinced that the two major keys to get rich (not quick) online is by (1) Hard work and (2) Smart work.

Let me explain. If anyone is going to amass riches and make money online, or at least create wealth that will keep on building and building, you have to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is definitively going to require some hard work. Now, before you go to another article, let me explain the words Hard Work. Hard work is not a bad thing and is not difficult. I think that none of us mind hard work if we know it is going to pay off. And expecially when we know that the hard work we do now will earn us a life of comfort, ease and luxury later.

A friend of mine is an animal when it comes to hard work. This man seems to always push on and push on. We have a partnership going on, and it is truly a pleasure to have a man by your side who is not afraid of hard work. Hard work always pays off. It is as if there is a mystical law to it that when someone sows sweat and blood, that he or she will also reap luxury and happiness. I know my friend is going to hit it big, and when he does, I am going to be glad that I believed in him and he in me.

In the mean time I am not rich, but steadily on my way to riches with an online system that works on autopilot and makes me money even while I sleep. And that brings me to the next part: Smart Work.

Hard work and smart work go hand in hand. Somebody said, and I believe it was one of the US presidents, that if he knew he had eight hours to fell down a tree, he would use seven of those hours sharpening the axe. Now that is quite a smart quote! One man can spend 72 hours axing a tree down, doing hard work. The other man could do it the smart way and get the thing down in eight hours, with not that much effort, because his axe is sharp.

Making money online and creating wealth on autopilot can be done on as little as two hours a day, or fourteen hours a week. If you can just know the right strings to pull and manipulate the system to work for you in stead of you working for it (or it working against you) you may soon be in a position in which you will have a residual income, an automatic cash flow on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. A residual income is not made overnight, so there is no talk of a get rich scheme her. There are enough scams in the world-we don't need another one to burn the unsuspecting internet entrepreneur.

But a trusted and proven system that teaches you how to make money online and create wealth on the internet on autopilot is a legitimate way to making a good and decent income, working from home. Work at home moms and work at home dads have discovered numerous work at home opportunities which brought them into a position of financial freedom, financial independence and financial prosperity.

The Independent Profit Center is such a trusted and proven system that works and makes real money online. Mr. Dan Miller is a tremendously successful internet entrepreneur who just couldn't keep the secret of making money online to himself. Of course we all know that he also makes his money-he is not doing what he is doing for charity! But believe me, I have no problem making money online and creating wealth on the internet on autopilot while cutting him a little portion of my profits.

WebWealthCreation is such a phenomenal trusted and proven system that shows you step by step how to make money on autopilot. It gives you all the information you need to create wealth online. We tend to wonder how these smart internet entrepreneurs do it, but if we are smart we will learn from them. I joined the IPC program almost a year ago and I have no regrets. It has not always gone exactly like I would have wanted it to go, but I have learned from Dan Miller and his money making videos in the members area how to make the system work for me.

An online business that really works and makes real money is the ideal work at home system. Every day I get up with the proverbial thousand things in my mind-things I have to do. But believe me-non of them are to rush out to join the rat race out there. I go to bed when I want and I get up when I want. Oh yes, I work, but a home based business that works on autopilot does not need much more than two to three hours a day. Sometimes I just dedicate the whole day of one week to the home based business and do everything online.

Even this article I am writing today is part of my online business. You might not know it, but this article will drive traffic to my website, blog and videos. Not everyone has it in them to go further than that, because he feel they have been scammed and burned before. You are not alone. We all have. But some of us make the effort and take the step.

The risk reward ratio is phenomenal. Ask yourself-is $249.00 too much of a risk for the prospect of making $5,000.00 or more per month? Even if you do lose the whole $249.00 and never make a dime-what have you really lost? But believe me-I am not in this business to lose money. Making money online and creating wealth online is what I am in this home based business for.

I am not promising you that you will get rich quick online, but I am offering you an alternative. You can get rich, make money online, create wealth on the internet, do so on autopilot and launch a wonderful cash flow, a consistent cash flow, a residual income. Give it a try.

How To Spread Your Online Business Faster Than The Swine Flu

by: Michael Cheney
One of the favorite link building tactics of internet marketers is article marketing. Submitting articles have been done for the longest time because of the many benefits it provides.

There are two kinds of articles being distributed.

The first are articles already written by an author. These articles are republished, with permission, as long as no part of the article is edited or removed. The agreement is for the resource box to be kept intact together with the links and other relevant information.

The other method is submitting your own articles. You can do this if you have sound knowledge about your business. In addition, writing skills is also required. You cannot just write about anything and everything. The articles should be information as well as interesting enough to be read.

Some of the benefits of article marketing are:

1. Guaranteed links.

Links placed inside articles are guaranteed to be live and distributed. This is what articles do best. You can use the keywords in the articles to link to your website. The number of people that will read your article will be the same as the number of people who will see your link and check out your business.

If you have tried requesting webmasters for your links to be included in their site, you would know how difficult it is to do so. It does not only take time, there is also the possibility that you will get turned down. In article marketing, you only have to make sure you have a quality article and you are assured of it published and even reprinted all over the internet.

2. Time-efficient.

Getting back links to your site usually take ages. Not if you are distributing articles. Most article submission sites take 24 hours or less to publish articles. There are even those that post articles the minute you finish submitting them. Instant exposure and instant back links.

It is easy to find sites to submit your articles to. A search in Google or Yahoo will come up with hundreds of websites that accept articles. You only have to distinguish which ones are good or not. It pays to check out the sites first before you start adding them to your list.

3. Free.

Those under the budget will find that article marketing is the top choice to market their business because it is for free. No budget is needed to distribute articles. No hidden charges too. Registration on some sites is the only thing required.

Time and effort is all you have to put out in article submissions. You also have to follow the submission guidelines that come with each site. As long as your article is within the standards of the site you are submitting it too, then you will really get more benefits out of free submission sites.

Spreading your website out there is just some articles away. Like the swine flu, your articles can be passed on from one website to another. But unlike the flu, your articles together with your website are not something your readers will want to get rid of.

Internet Network Marketing - Why You Need A Website

by: Toki Tover
It’s obvious that if you don’t have a website then it’s going to be pretty tough to do business online. And I’m going to briefly tell you why the company provided website will never work to build your business online.

The company provided website is useful as a tool to educate your prospects once you have already captured their information and they are in your campaign. That’s about it. The reason why you need your own website is because you HAVE to position yourself as different from everyone else. Otherwise, what reasons do people have to join you?

Remember the reasons why people would join you in your business? How different are you if you go and enter your name in a form to get the same website everyone else and their uncle has? You’re not very different. Furthermore, those websites are not capture pages. They do not generate leads. Make no mistake, the most important thing to grow and expand your business is to constantly be generating new leads. Endless leads means endless business growth. When you discover how you can create endless leads at will, you created a system that will produce you endless money at will.

Hands down, that is the essence of what network marketing is about. It’s all about the leads. So the reason why most company specific pages don’t work is because:

1. They are terrible at generating leads. They have poor lead conversion rates.

2. They are mass duplicated systems, meaning everyone knows they are basically going to get the same thing. They are going to opt in and get the same boring emails about the company’s financial history, the market trends, and the same stuff they hear from every other company.

3. The auto responder system set up on those pages will not suffice to do the job we need to get done. Plus the page is not capturing leads anyway, and I would never spend my hard earned money to send people to my website if the website was only a fraction as productive as one I could build myself.

Hence the reason you need to create your own website.

Now there are two different versions of websites that you can create for our purposes of capturing leads on the internet. I am going to cover them both and tell you what situations you want to use them both in.

1. A squeeze page. A squeeze page is a website that is 100% created with the purpose of doing nothing other then capturing a lead. It is meant to squeeze a person’s information in the quickest and most effective way possible. Squeeze pages are well oiled funnels that lead a person directly to the desired action you want them to take. In this case, it is leaving their contact information in exchange for the information they want from you.

2. A content page. A content page is more like your typical full blown website. A content page is generally less productive at converting leads, but very useful for many reasons none the less. In particular when it comes to generating a certain type of traffic which I will be talking about later on. Not only that but you can load your content page with all sorts of ways to capture people’s emails and generate opt ins. Once you have the traffic…the possibilities are endless.

In order to do internet network marketing successful I suggest you personally create both of these different types of websites. Your priority however, is absolutely on a squeeze page.

If you just had a squeeze page, you could still get by A LOT better, but a full blown content website comes in very handy on the back end of your campaign. A content website is essential for one other task, and that is Search Engine Optimization. Search Engine Optimization is a term that stands for your website being ranked highly in the major search engines. Since search engines are getting very competitive now a days, the only way sites get ranked very highly at all is by having LOTS of relevant and targeted information.

A squeeze page would never do it. So if you want to take total advantage of the internet to build a network marketing organization, I recommend tackling both of these website projects and utilizing all of it to its fullest potential.

Private Label Resell Rights: How To Choose A Product That Will Make You Money Online

by: Samantha Milner

Millions of Americans are currently trying to make money online. Unfortunately, many of them are not making money, but loosing it. If you are interested in taking part an online business opportunity, no matter what that opportunity be, it is advised that you know exactly what you are getting into before agreeing to invest your hard earned money or sign a contract. It is one of the few ways that you can protect yourself.

When searching for an online business opportunity, there are many individuals who come across something that is known as private label resell rights. Private label resell rights are offered on a number of different products. With the internet, these products most commonly include software programs or e-books. Private label resell rights are when the product creator does not have the time, money, or experienced needed to sell their finished product. A product creator tends to lose money each day that their product does not sell; therefore, they look for assistance. This is where you could come in, if you were looking to make money online.

To get their product on the market, while making money at the same time, many product creators, such as e-book authors or software designers, sell the resell rights to their product. The amount of money they are selling their rights for will vary; however, most resell rights do not cost more than a few hundred dollars. If you are able to come up with this money, you could not only be helping the product creator make money, but yourself as well. Since you legally obtained the resell rights to the product in question, you can start to profit from each sale that you make. Unfortunately, it is not always as easy as it sounds.

When it comes to purchasing the resell rights to a private label product, such as an e-book or software program, there are many buyers who make a costly mistake. That mistake is not picking a product that sells. To make money, you cannot just select a random private label product, instead you must research the market and learn what customers want and need to buy. Doing so will not only allow you to obtain the resell rights to a product that will sell, but one that will be in high demand.

The best way to learn about products, topics, or issues that are currently popular on the internet is to use the internet. There is a great 2 hour audio program on the subject of private lable resale rights at www.plrtips.com, the best part is it is free. Also you will want to read the news on a daily basis. You may also want to actively participate in online discussions. You can easily do this by joining a number of different message boards. With online message boards, many internet users post important questions and product requests. If you are able to find a product, such as a specific software program or e-book, that is being requested on a large scale, that product may be able to turn you a profit.

In addition to using the internet, you are advised to always keep your eyes and ears open. You never know what or where you will learn something new. Reading the news and participating in online message board discussions are just a few of the many ways that you can go about researching the need for a particular product. This research may seem time consuming; however, it is necessarily, that is unless what don’t mind losing the money you invested.

Why Only Losers Don't Have Lists

by: Kevin Pasco
By far one of the best affiliate marketing techniques is emailing your list and telling them to buy something. What? A list? How do you get one, what's going on? OK, if you're a little confused now keep reading and I'll fill you in. A list is simply a group of people who have given you their name and email address in exchange for information in the form of videos, audios or e-courses from you.

Here's a breakdown of what to do:

Build a squeeze page saying that you've got exclusive information and you're willing to give it away for free (make sure you give it a value though). In order for your visitors to receive the content they will need to fill out your autoresponder form which will have "Your First Name" and "Your Primary Email" fields. When a person fills out those fields your autoresponder will send them the content via email.

So why would you want to do this?

In the first email tell your subscribers that you will also send them valuable information regarding how to succeed or how to get better at whatever topic you chose. You can now email the people on your list various affiliate emails that has to do with the niche you're in.

I'll give you an example:

Create a squeeze page which offers a 7 day e-course on how to grow better plants (home gardening niche). Send out the e-course for 7 days and then after that start sending out affiliate promotion emails that have to do with the home gardening niche. These may be products that have to do with growing better plants, creating a home garden, the tools you need, ect...

Now, you never want to give your list 100% pitch all the time. Why? You'll end up with everyone becoming unhappy with you emails and then unsubscribing. Optimally, you want a 50/50 mix of pitch and content. This is done for a good reason though.

When you send your subscribers interesting and relevant content you establish a relationship with them and they start to become less and less skeptical about who you are and what you're about. They will start to trust you and actually want to buy the products you're promoting.

But what's the use of building a trusting relationship with out sending offers and promotions? That's why you need to make it seem like you are giving the person information but in fact you are actually selling them something. The ultimate goal is to blur the line between content and pitch so your reader won't be able to tell the difference between the two.

Having a list to communicate with is also a great way to remind your customers or subscribers that you're here and wanting to give them something. This really only applies if you have your own website selling your own products though. Here's a story:

My mentor is Dan Lok, he has a list with over 50,000 people on it which he emails information on how to build a better business with affiliate promotional emails as well. His girlfriend asked him one day if she could buy a Louis Vuitton purse which cost $2000. He thought the price was outrageous so he created a poll and told his list to vote on it.

Turns out the next day he had made $4000 from that email because people had remembered he had products to buy and they went ahead and bought them. The email had absolutely nothing to do with any of his products but when people received it they remembered he had relevant products that could improve their lives and they bought them.

Basically, you want to offer a prospect something of value on your squeeze page, exchange the information for their contact info and from there on send them relevant and fresh content with some affiliate promotional emails mixed in there. That's the best recipe you can get as an affiliate marketer.

Company Blogging Do’s & Don’ts

by: Angira Pandit
A company blog is a big part of setting up an SEO campaign for a company. A company blog is a crucial building block for companies who want to build traffic for their website and expose their brand online. In my opinion, a company deciding to have a blog is like rolling over and offering their vulnerable underbelly to their consumers. It’s a chance for companies to loosen their neckties and show their personal side in a professional atmosphere. That can either work for you or against you depending on how you use your blog. It is important to keep in mind these tips when writing a company blog, to ensure it doesn’t backfire against your company image.

1. Posting regularly is a must. You can’t create hype around your company by starting a blog, gaining readers and visitors and then let it fizzle out. Make sure you’re providing something substantial to your readers on a regular basis, to give them a reason to visit. Don’t copy other posts you find on the Internet. Discussing similar topics is understandable but make sure you personalize it and make it your own. If you have to discuss something you found on someone else’s blog, make sure you give them their due credit.

2. Never use the blog to snub another brand or company. True, a blog is a place for one to jot down their true feelings, thoughts and opinions. However, you have to keep in mind that EVERYONE will be reading your Company Blog.. Your competitors, previous customers, prospective customers, business partners and investors all can read it, so it’s important to maintain a certain sense of responsibility regarding the material you put on your blog.

3. Have entertaining material. A blog can be a platform to showcase interesting videos, field advice, pictures, updates, theories in your line of work, breaking industry news, and much more. People should take away the idea that you are up to date in your field of work and are under a constant state of research and development when it comes to working. Impress people by showing that you’re on top of your game!

4. Don’t ramble on when writing a post. People get bored by long drawn out write-ups easily. So try and keep your posts on the shorter side. Limit your posts to around 500 to 700 words per entry. It helps to have colorful imagery incorporated throughout your post. For example, if you are explaining in your post how to use a program it would be recommended to include snapshots to make it easier for readers to understand what you’re writing about. It also gives a clean and attractive look to your posts when you are able to break your paragraphs with interesting images related to your write up.

5. Use grammatically correct English. Just because this is a personal aspect of your company, doesn’t mean you can forego all the usual literal parameters. Sure, you can give your blog post a casual touch by delving in a heart-to-heart write up for your consumers and clients. But make sure you have grammatically correct sentences and proper diction.

6. Don’t take undue advantage of stuffing as many keywords as possible in your blog posts. Sure you can do that if you want. But users will see through this façade and stop visiting your company blog when they realize you’re not keeping their interests in mind.

7. Be careful when promising something on your blog postings. There are a lot of companies that choose to utilize their blogs to reveal product release dates. If you don’t end up fulfilling those promises it will look pretty irresponsible on your company’s part.

8. Make sure the look of your blog correlates with your company website. Having a one theme for your company blog and another for your company website looks very amateur and disorderly. Logos and company colors, should be similar throughout both the websites so visitors can identify with your brand easily. You should host your blog on your domain.

9. Ensure your blog has the option for visitors to leave comments and feedback. This is crucial to your blog, as it gives you the opportunity to directly communicate with your consumers. Consumers will feel they can relate to your brand if their voices are being heard and can address their concerns.

10. Install Google Analytics to track down how many visitors you had each day. This will give you an idea of how company blogging is working for you. You will be able to review the effect of the enhancements or changes you make on your blog to see what does and doesn’t work for your Company Blog.

How To Use Google AdWords Success Formula The Easy Way!

by: John Soulliere

Get Instant Access to Over 100 Million People in Less Than 10 Minutes with Google AdWords.

Google AdWords is not rocket science. But, it is a science.

There is a formula for success and it CAN be learned.
Those who learn it well make a lot of money online.
Those who master it make millions.
It is THAT powerful.

This is the quickest way to make sales online while avoiding things that most people don’t enjoy such as cold-calling prospects, waiting for our sites to get listed near the top of the search engines, working for someone else, etc.

This simple formula can make you as much money as you will ever need if you apply it. You truly don’t need anything else IF you MAXIMIZE this strategy.

Here’s the EASIEST & FASTEST way to start making money with Google AdWords advertising RIGHT NOW:

Open a Google AdWords account now with $50-100 to invest in advertising and bid on at least 50 low cost key words. Low cost key words are key word combinations that do not get a lot of traffic (but they get some) therefore the cost per click is VERY LOW.

You can find thousands of low cost key words by using the this keyword selector tool and typing in high cost key words such as: “work at home”, “home business”, “internet marketing”, “extra income”, etc… Type those and other similar key words into the keyword selector tool and then look down the list for key word combinations with a “Count” in the left-hand column of 1000 or less (that # is just an estimate). The lower the “Count”, the fewer people who search those key words and the lower price you will pay per click in Google AdWords. By paying lower prices per click, you’ll get more visitors and sales for each dollar you spend in advertising.

Most people make the mistake of bidding on high priced key words because they are the one’s getting the most traffic and they think that’s the best way to promote their site. Don’t make that mistake. Informed marketers (like you) make HUGE lists of low cost key words and bid on them all to get traffic to their site. In fact, it is not uncommon for highly successful Google AdWords users to bid on THOUSANDS of low cost key word combinations. This is the real secret to easy profits with Google AdWords.

If you’ve played your cards right by bidding on a group of LOW COST keywords to promote your affiliate link, you have a great chance of making money. Then, simply re-invest your profits back into your AdWords advertising campaign bidding on more and more keywords to increase your sales and income!

Google AdWords + your commitment to learn and APPLY this strategy can provide you with financial freedom. The formula for success is right here on this page… and it’s not even Algebra or Calculus!

It’s simple addition.Everything you need to make truckloads of money online is sitting right here for you on a silver platter!

Are you ready to enjoy the feast?

Come on… dinner is served… DIG IN!

FOCUS FACTOR: If money is your only goal and the information on this page makes sense to you, you really don’t have to go any further. You can make a comfortable living from home using ONLY this strategy. The key is to know exactly what you want and to focus exclusively on Google AdWords advertising until you arrive!

Actually, that really is the key to online success or success in anything else for that matter… You’ve got to know what you want and you’ve got to apply a single-minded FOCUS on your goal until you achieve it!

Searching For The Answer? Maybe The Answer Is Search

by: Jay Nagdeman

It is easy to forget that the Internet has had a very short history. It all began in 1968, when the Department of Defense (DOD) initiated a project to develop a reliable computer networking system. By 1972, the systems structure was in place and transmitting the first-ever e-mail. By 1973, an expanded system was communicating with the ships at sea and, via packet radios, with troops on the ground. In 1974, developers implemented a standard protocol that allowed communications among all networked computers, regardless of their operating system.

Although the project was funded primarily by the military, the supporting information was not classified. The developers, which included universities across the country, posted the software and source codes on the network as "freeware." The resulting research and development led to the introduction of the World Wide Web at a scientific conference held in Geneva in 1989. Shortly thereafter, the Commercial Internet Exchange (CIX) was established to provide a universal commercial connection point to the Web. The Internet as we know it was born.

Engines of Change

Soon, a significant amount of information began to accumulate on the Internet. In response, two unrelated pairs of doctoral students took two very different approaches in their quest to develop a mathematical structure that would organize this content and, by extension, enable users to retrieve it efficiently. The work of one team led to the introduction of Yahoo! in 1994, while the work of the other team led to the launch of Google in 1998. The stage was now set for a new world of commercial activity on the Internet.

The launch and subsequent refinement of Web search engines completely changed how people used the Internet. Now that anyone could quickly find the information they needed, the Internet was much less intimidating and much more user-friendly. Today, search activities comprise over 80% of online transactions, with U. S. users alone conducting 9.5 billion searches each month.

With the vast amount of content available on the Web, virtually any search yields hundreds of pages of results. In fact, a recent search for the phrase "financial services marketing" found 203,000 exact matches. Research has found that very few users look beyond the first few pages of results. In fact, 85% of all new web traffic comes from search engines and 81% of search-generated traffic comes from the first three pages of results. Therefore, any financial services organization that wants to drive traffic to its web site must take positive steps to ensure that it consistently appears in the first few pages of search results in the major search engines.

Being A Search Optimist

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) comprises an interrelated series of activities that seek to improve a company's organic ranking on major search engine result pages by promoting the site based on its content and purpose. Effective SEO takes into account the dozens of variables that search engines use to compute the "relevance" (or importance) of a given site. These variables include linguistics, site design, usability, amount of content and linking patterns. In addition, the search engine industry and the algorithms it uses are extremely dynamic. Any site that does not meet a search engine's rules and protocols will not appear in that search engine's results pages.

Internet search activity is driven by keywords, the words and short phrases that web users enter to find the information that they need. Keyword selection is a critical step that can have a long-term impact on the success of any organization's online marketing initiatives. Therefore, the optimization process begins with focused research to select keywords that will attract qualified traffic to the site. Keywords should be specific and relevant to the content on the subject page. Words that are too general can appear in searches that have little, if any, relevance to the site.

Search Engines periodically "crawl" sites to determine their relevance based on keyword selection. To determine how a given page should rank in the search engine's databases, the search engine robots, or spiders, read only certain areas of the page and evaluate the page's links. Therefore, each page should be optimized by making special efforts to clearly identify the relevance of the page using coding to focus attention on titles and descriptions, body text and images.

Rising to the Top

Currently, there are three basic search approaches:

- Organic Search (natural search or free search) is the original form of search ranking. Rankings are based solely on the relevance of the Web site to the keyword(s) entered. Marketing can generate higher organic results for selected keywords by using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to manipulate Web site design, copy and coding. While SEO can drive traffic over a longer period than Paid Search, it is very time and labor intensive.

- Paid Search (pay-per-click advertising or PPC) guarantees preferred placement to Web sites that have purchased the relevant keyword(s). The highly visible "Sponsored Links" areas generally appear on the top of search engine results pages. While PPC is characterized by quick implementation and adaptability, the cost of popular keywords can escalate rapidly. Other forms of paid search-e. g. contextual advertising, banners, etc.-have also proven effective.

- Paid Inclusion (paid submission) involves paying a search engine to review the Web site for possible inclusion into their search index. While paid inclusion increases the odds that the site will enjoy high placement in the organic search results, it does not guarantee high rankings.

The Bottom Line

Today, the Internet is probably the most effective way for a financial services firm to gain national visibility for its products and services. Because few financial services firms have fully leveraged the power of the Internet, this is an excellent time to cost-effectively achieve competitive advantage. Any organization serious about Internet marketing should begin with a systematic Search Engine Optimization program to improve their organic (unpaid) rankings on major search engines.

What is Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising? And is it For Me?

by: Krysti & Brian Horwitz
With so much going on with the internet today it can be difficult to keep up. You may know a little bit about Pay Per Click Advertising but looking to learn more. This article is intended to help you fill in the gaps, learn how it works, and learn whether you or your company should take advantage of this type of advertising.

We all know that there are millions of people online everyday using the internet for everything you could ever imagine...personal banking, finding a nanny, shopping for a new TV, learning how to scrapbook...the list just goes on and on.

I think it’s safe to say that everyone on a computer has probably used the Google search engine. You simply type in a query into the search box, and "poof" it’s like magic, the page fills up with relevant information about what you just typed in. As someone that uses Google, you couldn't be happier. Everything that you were looking for is just a mouse click away.

Here is where the lesson starts. Let’s say someone is getting married and needs to find a photographer so they type in the word "wedding photographer" into the Google search box. A new page will load and you will be looking at what is called "organic" links or website listed down the middle of the page (in black type) and you will also see links on the top (sometimes), and always on the right hand side 4 line ads in blue that you can also click on. The blue text ads are what is called "paid advertising" or "sponsored ads". No one is telling you which link to click, it is completely up to you. The power of PPC is that anyone in a matter of hours can be advertising on the first page of Google using paid advertising. This is not the case with "organic" websites. "Organic" placement can take months, and sometimes even years to get on the first page. In essence you are paying your way onto the first page of Google when you use "paid advertising".

That brings me to the next point. Who pays and how does that all work? Well, the person who is responsible for placing that ad (the blue one) is the one paying. Every time someone decides to click on your ad, you (the advertiser) will pay for that click. Let’as say no one clicks on your ad, then you pay nothing. The only time you will pay is when someone actually clicks on your ad and they are taken to your website. You are essentially paying a small price to ensure visitors to your website (so make sure you have a killer website that closes the deal for you!).

What is the cost per click? Well, there is a range that people pay and it all depends on just how competitive the keyword is that you are bidding on. The range can be as low as .20 cents a click all of the way up to 6, 7, 8 sometimes 12 dollars a click on some very, very competitive keywords. I would say a realistic range is .60 cents to $2 a click if you don't have a wide open budget. The bottom line is you decide what keywords to bid on, and if a keyword is too expensive, just go and find a new one. The best part is there is an interface or a back-office that helps you stay organized and keeps track of the cost, the numbers, the keywords, your bid price, etc. The system, whether it be Google or someone else will provide all of its advertisers with a management area where all of your numbers will be tracked and secure. You just have to decide what keywords you want to bid on and what the maximum amount you will pay per click. (More on who offer PPC Advertising soon).

Now, the question is, "Is this a good way to spend advertising dollars?" Well, that is highly debatable. The undeniable truth is you will have laser targeted views of your advertisement. What I mean is, as a photographer you are only going to bid on keywords that are relevant to your industry. For example: photographer, professional photographer, wedding photographer, best photographer, etc. When you bid on those specific keywords your ad will show up when someone types any of those words into the search box. That is what I mean by a laser targeted view. There really is no other type of advertising out there that provides this sort of "supply and demand" advertising platform. The person that has typed in "wedding photographer" is clearly looking to find a wedding photographer, and what better place to have an advertisement if you in fact are a wedding photographer. It doesn't get much better than that!

Now Google is not the only place that you can do paid advertising. There are other search engines like MSN and Yahoo that also offer the same advertising opportunity. And more recently, Facebook and YouTube have joined the game and offer Paid Advertising space.

Pay Per Click is growing in its popularity, but the most important advise I could possibly provide is to educate yourself. You now know the basics...the difference between "organic" and "paid" and where to find them. You also understand that you can bypass the challenges of website SEO (search engine optimization) and pay to get on the first page of any search query. And you understand that Pay Per Click means exactly that. You have officially been exposed to the unique power of PPC Advertising. This is just the first step, don't make the mistake of jumping into PPC too quickly, that is how you will lose serious advertising dollars. Learn the skills necessary to maximize your ad dollars and increase your sales accordingly.

How To Analyze Website Traffic

by: Nelson Tan
Analyzing your web traffic statistics can be an invaluable tool for a number of different reasons. But before you can make full use of this tool, you need to understand how to interpret the data.

Most web hosting companies will provide you with basic web traffic information that you then have to interpret and make pertinent use of. However, the data you receive from your host company can be overwhelming if you don't understand how to apply it to your particular business and website. Let's start by examining the most basic data-the average visitors to your site on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

These figures are the most accurate measure of your website's activity. It would appear on the surface that the more traffic you see recorded, the better you can assume your website is doing, but this is an inaccurate perception. You must also look at the behavior of your visitors once they come to your website to accurately gauge the effectiveness of your site.

There is often a great misconception about what is commonly known as "hits" and what is really effective, quality traffic to your site. Hits simply means the number of information requests received by the server. If you think about the fact that a hit can simply equate to the number of graphics per page, you will get an idea of how overblown the concept of hits can be. For example, if your home page has 15 graphics on it, the server records this as 15 hits, when in reality we are talking about a single visitor checking out a single page on your site. As you can see, hits are not useful in analyzing your website traffic.

The more visitors that come to your website, the more accurate your interpretation will become. The greater the traffic is to your website, the more precise your analysis will be of overall trends in visitor behavior. The smaller the number of visitors, the more a few anomalous visitors can distort the analysis.

The aim is to use the web traffic statistics to figure out how well or how poorly your site is working for your visitors. One way to determine this is to find out how long on average your visitors spend on your site. If the time spent is relatively brief, it usually indicates an underlying problem. Then the challenge is to figure out what that problem is.

It could be that your keywords are directing the wrong type of visitors to your website, or that your graphics are confusing or intimidating, causing the visitor to exit rapidly. Use the knowledge of how much time visitors are spending on your site to pinpoint specific problems, and after you fix those problems, continue to use time spent as a gauge of how effective your fix has been.

Additionally, web traffic stats can help you determine effective and ineffective areas of your website. If you have a page that you believe is important, but visitors are exiting it rapidly, that page needs attention. You could, for example, consider improving the link to this page by making the link more noticeable and enticing, or you could improve the look of the page or the ease that your visitors can access the necessary information on that page.

If, on the other hand, you notice that visitors are spending a lot of time on pages that you think are less important, you might consider moving some of your sales copy and marketing focus to that particular page.

As you can see, these statistics will reveal vital information about the effectiveness of individual pages, and visitor habits and motivation. This is essential information to any successful Internet marketing campaign.

Your website undoubtedly has exit pages, such as a final order or contact form. This is a page you can expect your visitor to exit rapidly. However, not every visitor to your site is going to find exactly what he or she is looking for, so statistics may show you a number of different exit pages. This is normal unless you notice an exit trend on a particular page that is not intended as an exit page. In the case that a significant percentage of visitors are exiting your website on a page not designed for that purpose, you must closely examine that particular page to discern what the problem is. Once you pinpoint potential weaknesses on that page, minor modifications in content or graphic may have a significant impact on the keeping visitors moving through your site instead of exiting at the wrong page.

After you have analyzed your visitor statistics, it's time to turn to your keywords and phrases. Notice if particular keywords are directing a specific type of visitor to your site. The more targeted the visitor-meaning that they find what they are looking for on your site, and even better, fill out your contact form or make a purchase-the more valuable that keyword is.

However, if you find a large number of visitors are being directed-or should I say misdirected-to your site by a particular keyword or phrase, that keyword demands adjustment. Keywords are vital to bringing quality visitors to your site who are ready to do business with you. Close analysis of the keywords your visitors are using to find your site will give you a vital understanding of your visitor's needs and motivations.

Finally, if you notice that users are finding your website by typing in your company name, break open the champagne! It means you have achieved a significant level of brand recognition, and this is a sure sign of burgeoning success.

Powerful Adwords Techniques To Make Money

by: Taylor Hutchison-Brown

Internet has opened up a number of possibilities for people to make money online. There are millions of online businesses generating income for people. Google Adwords is one such opportunity which is made use of by many people. In order to use this method to generate money, there are two steps to be followed namely go to Adwords at Google and also open an account with Clickbank and sign up as an affiliate.

The process itself is pretty simple. On the main page of clickbank, click on “Promote Products”. The product index page opens up. All these products are sold through clickbank. There is a concise description of the product along with details of how much margin you make as an affiliate.

The next step involves going to the sales page of the product and read about it. Study in detail the various benefits of the product before writing your own Google Adwords advertisement. Your success with the program depends on how effectively you write your Adwords. The best format include writing an effective headline preferably in a question format, the first line listing at least one major feature of the product, the second lining the benefit offered by the product and the next line featuring your website address. It is as simple as that.

You now submit your ad based on the budget you select and wait for just ten minutes for your ad to appear on the Google network. As users click on your ad, you will be charged by Google per click. The amount of money you have to pay per click depends on the amount you bid on a particular keyword.

You receive your commission only if the searcher goes to your site and purchases a product. The commission is credited by the Clickbank into your Clickbank account. Making money with Google Adwords therefore essentially depends on your CTR or Click Through Rate and ROI or Return On Investment. Your skill lies in how effectively you balance between these two to make maximum money.

You just subtract the ad running cost from the money you earn to determine the return on investment. A profitable ad can generate a lot of business by increasing the number of people clicking on it.

Here are a few tips on writing Adwords that are sure to generate a good affiliate income by lowering the cost per click and increasing the number of clicks.

•Concentrate on a specific niche depending on aspects such as language for example if you are selling an eBook. It does not make sense including non English speaking countries if you are selling a book in English.

•Make your keyword specific by including brackets around it. This way the searches will not show up your ad unless it is for that specific keyword phrase.

•It is possible to arrive at a high click rate ratio by trial and error. Keep trying multiple ads in order to hit upon the ones that work best and generate the most number of clicks. Replace the poor performing ads with fresh ones until you hit upon an ad that generates the most number of clicks.

•Constantly keep a watch and monitor the Return on Investment for every ad. This is possible by tracking the conversion ratio with the help of a tracking link.

•Make sure niche keywords are included both in the headline as well as in the description. Your keyword will automatically be highlighted in bold by Google ensuring user’s attention is captured as they search for that particular keyword.

•Ensure the ad includes at least a couple of benefits of the product you are selling. For example, mention benefits such as stay younger, live healthier, etc.

•Make your headline as powerful as possible. For this, the first word must grab the attention of the reader. You can start your headline with words such as New, Sale, etc.

•Use effective phrases that call readers to action immediately. For this, the words you use must be powerful and instigate a response by working on the reader’s enthusiasm and emotions. Some of the powerful words you can use for this purpose include discover, time limited offer, free shipping, etc. Sale ends tomorrow, Buy Today and save 40%, etc are some of the effective phrases you can include. An important aspect to remember is if the phrase is not related to your product, the ad itself will be rejected by Google.

•Highlight the unique benefit offered by your product as compared to other similar products in the market in your ads.

•Instead of linking to the home page, you can achieve more conversion ratio by linking your ads to the landing page of your site.

•Including the price of product in the ad is a good idea to keep away those who are hunting for free offers.

Take care of the above aspects and keep a continuous track of your ad performance to reap benefits from your Google Adwords campaign.
